Dela Gwala
Dela is a feminist facilitator, activist writer and multidisciplinary storyteller. She writes and speaks about healing, memory, trauma and social justice. Majority of her writing, research, activism and facilitation work has focused on Gender Based Violence (GBV) and Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) more broadly. She has also worked on the issue of pursuing racial and economic parity in post-Apartheid South Africa: specifically on social dialogue that changes social attitudes towards the past and navigating conversations about redress in South Africa. She holds an MA Gender Studies from SOAS University of London and an MA Creative Writing from the University of Cape Town.
